Thanks to a bill introduced by Senator Richard C. Martinez and signed by Governor Richardson in the last legislative session, the RAIL libraries finally got their checks. The Abiquiu, Embudo, Truchas and El Rito Libraries all received an equal amount of the bill total. While this money will be used for general operating expenses, it needs to be spent by June 30, 2008. We will continue to have fundraising events throughout the year and keep the money in reserve until we absolutely need it.
